I am an accomplished negotiator, High Court litigator and advocate for vulnerable adults and children. I have extensive experience dealing with difficult high quantum injury claims, involving brain, spinal, bladder and bowel as well as a proven track record in Fatal Accident Act claims, representing Claimant’s families at inquest.
I recognise the life changing effect Gynaecological and Obstetric injuries have on injured women and have been instructed on multi-million-pound wrongful birth and issues concerning lack of capacity. I have recovered millions of pounds in damages for future loss, accommodation, aids and equipment and future care. I regularly work alongside Kings Counsel in Manchester and London, and I enjoy working alongside our Private Client team and Court of Protection solicitors. I relish presenting cases with the utmost professionalism and dignity.
I have a specialist interest in health and safety law, becoming qualified in Occupational Safety and Health, Level 6. I enjoy reviewing accident-related data, serious incident reports, root cause analysis, care quality commission interventions, risk assessments in the healthcare sector and love all aspects of medical liability law. I have detailed knowledge of complex surgical procedures, risks and benefits, and the laws surrounding informed consent.
I regularly take instructions from Deputies on Court of Protection, related matters and incidents involving those without litigation capacity, in both the old and young. I have experience in spotting discrete brain injuries and persons with cognitive impairment and neurodiversity, that have been affected by negligence of the state. I will always strive to be successful in changing the lives of injured persons for the better, when they have been severely and irreversibly let down.
I enjoy taking calculated risks that bring reward and sometimes accepting cases where others won’t. Particularly cases that are running close to limitation or cases involving complex issues of vicarious liability or historic negligence. For example, when RCS investigations shine a light on negligent surgical activities. I have had great success in recovering damages involving Gynaecological mesh and Urological and Colorectal injuries.
When I can, I spending time with family and friends, dog walking, and days out. I love all aspects of interior design, building work and development – and have a passion for architecture! I have undertaken several building projects and like nothing more than spending a weekend getting my hands dirty and power tools out.

The company were extremely supportive and helpful and despite significant obstacles Andrew Taylor remained focused and intent on achieving a successful outcome for me. Thank you so much Andrew and Jasmine for everything I could not be happier with the outcome.
Despite two defendant Trusts challenging the case, Andrew Taylor, secured judgement swiftly after court proceedings were issued after a contested application. Andrew managed to obtain an interim payment to enable me to seek private treatment. From day one, Andrew has always remained focused and intent on achieving a successful outcome for me. After a stay to allow for negotiations was agreed, a settlement was achieved which I am delighted with. I can’t thank Andrew enough for all his hard work and dedication given not only to the case but also to me!
Andrew, Jasmine and all the staff who dealt with my claim were excellent. They guided and helped me through a very difficult period after my accident. They are truly professional and I can’t thank them enough.
You helped when nobody else would, and that was truly appreciated. I wish you all the very best, you deserve it, a helpful, honest, compassionate solicitor.
Andrew Taylor and the Healthcare and Clinical Risk team provided an excellent, professional and dedicated service that resulted in a successful personal injury claim. Andrew’s attention to detail was meticulous and I felt the upmost confidence in him and the team. Each part of the process was explained thoroughly and with sensitivity and any questions I had were answered promptly. I would highly recommend Birchall Blackburn Law.
